I’ll give it credit, my dog seemed interested enough in eating it, so I guess that part worked. Unfortunately, it gave him runny, messy stools every single day, which was not exactly the experience I was hoping for.

The food got here on time, which was great, but wow, the bag looked like it had been through a tiny disaster. The box barely had any padding, so I was relieved nothing spilled everywhere. For the price, I really expected the packaging to look a bit cleaner and more put together. It wasn’t a total nightmare or anything, just average

My dog does a lot better on grain-free food, so I was kind of feeling pressured to find something that wouldn’t mess with his stomach again. Canidae had a few options that worked for him, which was a relief. Ordering was easy too, so no real complaints from me.

The food itself is totally fine, but the shipping is kind of all over the place. Sometimes it arrives fast, and other times the tracking just sits there for days like nothing is happening?! I just wish it was a little more consistent.

i was able to find the dog food i needed without much trouble, but the site felt a little slow. a few pages took longer to load than i expected, and checkout was kind of clunky. it worked in the end, just wasn’t the smoothest experience.

I really wanted Canidae to work for my dog, but i had a harder time than I expected finding a formula that made sense. My dog can’t have chicken, and maybe that’s partly on me for having such a picky, allergy-prone pup, but it still felt like the options were limited.
A lot of the recipes seemed almost the same to me too, just in different bags, so I kept second-guessing what I was even buying. I don’t think it’s a bad brand, but for someone like me trying to avoid certain ingredients, I wish they had more flavors and special diet choices...

I wanted to feel good about supporting this brand, but I wish they’d share actual proof of their sustainability efforts instead of just vague feel-good claims. It’s nice that they say they care about the planet, I guess, but some real transparency would be even nicer.

I really wanted this to be a good switch for my dog, but it just didn’t agree with him. After a little while, his coat started looking dull and his skin got itchy, which was a bummer because he’s usually not like that. I even thought maybe it was the weather at first, since our house gets so dry sometimes and I’m always forgetting to refill the humidifier, but the timing lined up with this food. We switched him back and he seems more comfortable now. Not something I’d buy again

The subscription is handy overall, but they don’t make it as easy as they should to change or skip an order. I figured it out eventually, but it definitely took me a minute.

My dog can be super picky with chicken, so I was excited to find that CANIDAE has options like salmon, lamb, and bison!! It took me a little while to decide which one to try, but ordering was really easy, and he’s been eating it with no problem.

Customer service was alright, nothing amazing. I emailed them with a question about my order and didn’t get a reply for a couple days, which was kind of frustrating?! When they finally did respond, the person was nice and got things sorted out, so I can’t really complain too much. I just wish they had been faster. Not awful, just average.

He liked it at first and ate it without any drama, but after a few days his poop got soft and he was way gassier than usual. Not a total disaster, but definitely not the easy digestion I was expecting. Also, I got annoyed because the deal/terms around the price and bag size felt like they kept changing, which just makes the whole thing more frustrating when the food isn’t even working great.

We ended up finishing the bag by mixing it with his old food so it wouldn’t go to waste. I’m sure it’s fine for some dogs, but for mine it was just okay and not really worth dealing with the tummy issues or the changing terms

I’m knocking off a star because a couple times the bag size I needed was out of stock, which kind of feels like their problem to keep up with. I ended up either waiting or settling for a smaller bag, and while it wasn’t the end of the world, it was definitely annoying.
